Your Legacy: Leave One to Live On

Whether you care to share your own life story, or a loved one’s inspiring biography, committing it to paper can be challenging. Where do you begin? What do you include? Which technologies are the most helpful, user-friendly, and resilient? On April 19, Jess Hagemann of Cider Spoon Stories will brief us on the fine art of legacy writing–“because legacy shouldn’t be a luxury.”

Jess Hagemann is an award-winning author and accomplished biographer. With an MFA in Creative Writing, Jess taught writing at the university level before starting Cider Spoon Stories in 2015. The first memoir she ever ghostwrote was her Grandpa Jack’s, about his years as a Kansas state arson investigator. Jack passed away just days after finishing the project; his wife says it gave him the peace he needed to let go, knowing his story was set down and he would not be forgotten.
