Seeing Stories Everywhere: Build your personal “story stash” so you always have stories on hand to engage your audience

This workshop is for you if you’ve ever thought, “I wish I had a story that could start my talk with a bang!” Or “I know my message would hit home better if only I had a story to illustrate my big idea.” Don’t be held back by thinking that you don’t have a story that’s “important” enough to share. Instead, learn how to turn your everyday experiences into stories that pack a punch and immediately connect with your audience. 

Join storytelling teacher Megan Barnhard as she guides you step by step to find stories at your fingertips. You’lll learn practical skills that build your “storytelling muscle” — so you always have a story on hand, whether you want to spice up the opening of your signature talk, drive home a key point with a specific example, or engage your audience’s emotions so your message really sticks. Bonus: The more you see stories everywhere, the more you adopt a growth mindset and view yourself as the hero of your own journey.

Megan Barnhard is a writing coach & story magician who helps deep thinkers get their bold ideas out of their heads and onto the page. With a background in special education and over 20 years’ experience serving writers of all ages, Megan is committed to making the writing process accessible and fun for everyone. Using her story X-ray vision, as well as inspiring prompts that bypass the inner critic, she unlocks writing flow for business owners, speakers, authors, and creatives.
